Art is one of the ways I connect with new places and people and cultures the fastest. Getting to experience art through someone else’s eyes helps me get to know them. Art is so personal and subjective and, at times, even controversial.

While planning travel, one of the first things I do is research and explore local artists and artistic traditions. If possible, I try to add a piece of local art from every trip to my collection.
