Ready to explore Baltimore? From visiting the best aquarium to savoring delicious bites, I dove into this vibrant city’s history, culture, and fun vibes. Walk through America’s firsts, catch a bird’s-eye view, fire a cannon (kinda), and get a poem at the farmer's market. Between iconic museums, a game of cornhole at Fells Point, and even a spooky run-in with ghostbusters, there’s endless adventure waiting!
And yes, I found some seriously good food along the way!
Who’s ready to join me on this unforgettable journey through Baltimore?

I travel all around the world with my family, so finding family-friendly activities is always a must! We recently explored Baltimore, and here are five of my daughter’s favorite spots:
1️⃣ @nationalaquarium – She loved the interactive exhibits and incredible biodiversity!
2️⃣ @historicshipsinbaltimore – A hands-on dive into maritime history…complete with hammocks!
3️⃣ @fortmchenrynps – The birthplace of the Star-Spangled Banner, where we joined an unforgettable flag ceremony.
4️⃣ @borailmuseum – Real trains to climb on and explore—every kid’s dream!
5️⃣ @the_avam – Celebrating creativity with fun, interactive art exhibits for all ages.
Baltimore has so many amazing, family-friendly spots! If you’re planning a trip, add these to your list!

Exploring Baltimore (#sponsored) was a feast for all the senses, but the food was on another level! Here are my top picks that you must try:
1. Dukem Special Tibs from Dukem Ethiopian (@dukemethiopian)– Tender, spiced, and packed with flavor, this a standout dish in a city full of culinary gems.
2. Pad Cha from Thai Street at Broadway Market (@thai.street)– A flavorful, spicy stir-fry that felt like it came straight from Grandma's kitchen in Thailand. Authentic, bold, and delicious.
3. Chicken Box from Super Fried Chicken at Lexington Market (@lexington_market) – A true Baltimore staple! Crispy chicken wings with fries, topped with salt, pepper, ketchup, and sometimes a splash of hot sauce for that tangy kick.
4. Pan-Seared Pork Chop at The Tilted Row (@thetiltedrow) – The best I’ve had, topped with creamy pepper onion gravy and complemented by their unforgettable house-made hot sauce.
5. Get Your Grits On from Miss Shirley’s Cafe (@missshirleys) – Perfectly seasoned blackened shrimp paired with stone-ground grits and a fried green tomato, dusted in Cajun spices. No wonder this dish is a local favorite featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.
Baltimore, you’ve stolen my heart and my taste buds! Which of these would you try first?

Last year was my first time experiencing @nomadnessfest and my introduction to @nomadnesstribe. I left feeling refueled, recharged, and deeply inspired.
This year, I had the honor of speaking for the second time, joining @ronniedunston, @packslight, and @yesitskareemab to discuss travel hacking. We covered everything from grants and points to buying power, and I shared insights on accessibility in travel. To all the amazing attendees who reached out to me after the panel, I’m so grateful that my message resonated with you. Your kindness and response remind me of the importance of sharing knowledge and experiences.
Huge thanks to @evierobbie, @smileysejalee, and the entire NOMADNESS Fest team. This event is essential and truly impactful.
And thank you to @charlottesgotalot for being an incredible host. I can’t wait to visit again!

A quick reminder: I'll be in Charlotte this week for @nomadnessfest. I'm speaking on a panel about travel hacking on Sept 14th. Can't wait to see you there!
Also, anything must see/do/eat in Charlotte, NC, that I just can't miss?
Secondly, what's your favorite travel hack or tip?
Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice! 💀
Growing up as the weird girl, Beetlejuice wasn't just entertainment—it was permission to be unapologetically me. It showed me that it's okay to embrace the strange, to let your quirks shine, and that there's always a place for the unusual. Now as an adult, I still carry that with me. The weird didn’t go away, it just evolved, and I’m proud to own it. Here’s to all of us who never quite fit in, but found our own space to thrive. 🖤
And here's for the next generation getting the reminder that weird is cool.

When I travel, I always look for antique stores or secondhand stores. It's a great way to explore a new-to-me place and also maybe find someone really special. Plus, I love shopping.
What about you? Do you have the one thing you try to do everywhere you travel?

One of my favorite times to live my best Star Wars life is at Disney. Like during our trip to Disneyland Paris.
How are you celebrating today?
Language: English is the most commonly spoken language in the USA (even though it’s not the official language on a federal level).
Currency: The currency in the USA is the US Dollar (USD).
Additionally, it’s very common to use a debit or credit card for all purchases, so cash won’t be needed for the most part. ATMs are also fairly common and accessible.
Gratuity: In general, tipping is expected in the USA. Most places will not add gratuity to your bill unless you have a larger party. Gratuity percentage or amount depends on the job being done, but 15-25% has become fairly standard.
Travel Plug Adapter: In the USA the power plugs and sockets are of Type A and B. The standard voltage is 120 V, and the standard frequency is 60Hz.
Side of the Road: Right.
Safety: The USA is generally considered a safe place to travel. While there are petty and serious crimes occurring, they rarely include tourists. That being said, the USA is a fairly large place and not every city (or even state) is created equally.
