The Intersection of Multiple Identities

For most of my adult life, I have called myself “half Asian/half white”. It felt like the most accurate depiction of “what I am”. Obviously, that’s ridiculous, and my exact genetic makeup couldn’t possibly represent me as a whole human being, but I think it was so important to say this because my Asian identity was erased from my being all throughout my childhood.

Why I Buy Local Art Everywhere I Travel

I’m sure you’ve started to see a trend when it comes to my travels. I collect local art from every new place I visit. I figure I’ll one day be able to create a gallery of adventures. Buying local is a huge part of that wanderlust. When I’m experiencing a new community, I want to support it the best I can. For me, that means eating local, ideally staying local, and buying local.
